The week finale has been all about putting together the components of the lamps and attaching them to the wall for the photo and video shoot. The cylinders have been built: inside of the white 3D printed enclosure there is the plug for the LEDs which are wrapped all around them. On top of that, I added a frosted acrylic tube with a satin finish on the inside and outside making it perfect for light diffusion while maintaining a high light transmission. Altogether the core of the lamp is a solid piece that works as wall mount as well.

 

 

To attach the marble tiles to the cylinders I used a special glue: premium polyurethane construction adhesive. This is a really strong moisture-curing adhesive which can hold a solid piece of marble without problems.
